Can you tell me how to fish for crappie?

Crappie fishing is not as hard as it is to fish for some other species of fish. If you are fishing during the spring, summer and fall months, you can use a cricket for bait. The thing about crickets is that offer some vibration in the water for some time. Otherwise, a night crawler will do well. However, before you can fish for crappies, you need to know where to find them and what method you are going to use. Find the fish. If you know the water, you will fish or have a map, look for underwater structures where crappie hides. Look for schools of crappie. You can use the vertical drop method or cast into the zone if you are fishing from shore. Once you have found the location, the method you use will be easy to figure out. If you are in a boat, you can also do a slow troll to catch a crappie. During spawning, look near downed timber and rocks in shallow waters. If you are fishing from shore, you can wade into the water or fish from shore and cast. You can use a night crawler or a cricket for this method as well. You do not need any fancy fishing equipment if you are starting out. Once you develop a method or technique then you might want some other equipment to fish other areas and use different techniques. Just remember to keep the water as undisturbed as possible when fishing crappies. Fish as close to the schools as possible.
