Now, for location...Just tie up or anchor near a weed bed and drop your line down to the depth you have determined the fish are holding.  If you want to use live bait, use little minnows and worms.

Another tactic to maximize your catch is to drive your boat right into the weeds, let your anchor settle to the bottom, and then just drag it through the grass, and really stir things up on the bottom.  Once you have done that, the natural forage in the area are really going to be scurrying around, and that is going to sound like a dinner bell to the specs.
