Make a cone shape with your screen, create holes with your ice pick that are large enough to feed the wire or cord through. Using the wire or cording, tie the cone shut. Be sure to take the time and effort to do this securely, so your trap will last. Use the fishing sinkers to weigh down the pointed end of the cone. Attach a piece of cord or strong fishing line to the cone, so you can throw it into the water and drag it to catch the minnows.
