Baiting Your Minnow Traps
 
After your trap is made the next step is to select the bait you want to use to help attract the minnows and draw them into your trap. The bait will be placed directly in the trap and you can use bread, crackers, corn or even pet food as minnow bait. Basically, they will eat most anything that is small enough for them to consume.
 
Using traps to catch your minnows not only saves you money but it can be a lot of fun. You can experiment with different designs to see which ones produce the best results and knowing that you are catching fish on the bait that you caught yourself is very rewarding.
