In this article I'm going to shed more light on the most productive way to use the Evening Secret to catch fish in freshwater or saltwater. I'll talk about where it should be used, and give a step-by-step guide for operating the device.
It's important to know that it won't "magically" create fish where there aren't any. The location you'll use it should conform to the old standards for finding a good spot to fish. You want to either find a spot you know people have caught fish in the past, or if you are fishing a body of water for the first time, be on the lookout for structure and areas of transition. Once you've found a likely area for good fishing, you'll want to put the unit to work. First let me explain how the Evening Secret works, and then I'll go through the steps for using it.
The Scientific Process Behind The Evening Secret Fishing Weapon
The unit was built to take advantage of a regular occurance in nature - the food chain. Very simply, the unit "accelerates" the food chain process in any good fishing spot - so you can see it happen before your very eyes.
It emits certain wavelengths that are scientifically optimized for maximum attraction of the lowest life form on the food chain - phytoplankton, and zooplankton.
Typical response to Evening Secret wavelengths is the attraction of millions of zooplankton organisms inside of about 20 minutes. They'll actually form white-looking clusters all throughout the fishing spot. Once this happens, it's a matter of minutes before natural bait fish move in to feed on the zooplankton organisms. It's common to witness a swarming ball of baitfish with a radius of 10-15 feet wide. Interesting Note: we've found that if the device is shut off after the swarm has been created, the baitfish become extremely active, even jumping out of the water... there's no benefit to this, so I recommend that you keep the unit switched on at all times.
The next element of the food chain is the larger predator fish (in freshwater: crappie, catfish, bass, walleye, etc... in saltwater: tuna, yellowtail, calico bass, halibut, shark, grouper, red fish, sea bass, etc, etc...) move in to feed on the swarm of live bait. Most species wiill feed off the outside endge of the swarming ball of bait, which is why fishermen should focous their fishing on the outside edges of the bait ball - not in the middle.
Now that I've explained the science behind the Evening Secret, I'll go into the steps you'll take to activate it.
Evening Secret Usage - 4 Simple Steps
Step 1: Once you've scoped out a good fishing spot where fish have been caught in the past... or one that's by structure or areas of transition, you'll need to attach a 5-7 pound weight to the industrial strength ABS and acrylic loophole at the bottom of the unit. Just use a piece of twine to tied the weight to the bottom. This will allow the Evening Secret to submerge and hang vertically under the water.
Step 2: Tie a piece of rope or twine from the metal clip at the top of the unit to an anchor spot on your boat - or if you are fishing from shore, to the end of a dock, an overhanging tree, etc... this will support the "weight" of the unit so the cord attached the battery doesn't handle the weight.
Step 3: Hook the alligator clips from the cord to any 12 volt battery source. The device will activate.
Step 4: Lower the unit into the water. The best depth in most situations is so the top of the Evening Secret is 3-5 inches under the surface of the water.
Step 5: Sit back and watch the show begin, and get your rods setup.
I hope this little guide will help you get more out of your Evening Secret fishing device.
