Fishing researcher, Dan Eggertsen, answers a variety of questions concerning how you can catch crappie quickly and easily.

Lake Lanier Crappie Fishing

During the warmer weather months, such as July, night fishing for crappie in Lake Lanier is a good choice.  Just use lights around the marinas and under bridges on the southern end of the lake.  Some good choices would be Six Mile Creek Bridge, Bald Ridge Marina, and Two Mile Creek Bridge.  Specialized fish lights are becoming more and more popular, and the neon green ones seem to be particularly effective, but any lantern will work, and in a pinch, you can even just fish the areas that already have light, like marinas and lighted bridges.
