“Special” Pole Gimmicks
If you are researching Crappie fishing, you may have found countless sales pages and vendors advertising special poles. These advertisements may promise that you will catch the limit of Crappie everyday, or may even promise that it will make it easier to tell when Crappie are biting. Beware of these types of “special” poles as they seem to promise more then they can provide.
There is no pole, or other type of fishing equipment for that matter, that will attract Crappie. The only exception is that some equipment may help you find Crappie, such as fish finders. One of the challenges of Crappie fishing, is finding them. It is a part of fishing, and should be part of the fun.
The best way for you to decide on the pole that is right for
you is to do research on your own, or talk to a person knowledgeable
in fishing in your region. Local outdoors stores such as Bass
Pro Shops, Gander Mtn, Cabelas, and Atwoods hire employees interested
in the sport, and train them even further. These employees will
be more then willing to walk you through your purchase.
