I would like to know where i can catch a nice crappie in OR. I live in tualitan with my dad. we love to go fishing but i have yet to catch a crappie. please can you tell me the best place to go. Thank you so much for your help dan your a fishing savour!!!!

The Tualitan River is an excellent place to fish, and I believe it is near you. It has good populations of crappie, bluegill, catfish, bass, trout Coho, steelhead, carp, and odd sturgeon, and even pike minnows. A good place is at Cook Park. There is a flat gravel place just upstream of the boat ramp. It is even a good place for wading. Just hook a small minnow up on light line and use a small bobber. Toss it out an see what grabs it. Chances are, it will be a crappie. Another good place on the river is Browns Ferry Park, off Nyberg Road. There is a dock there that you can fish from, and you can just about cast all the way across the river from it. It should be really good in spring and fall. maybe even in summer.Just remember, crappie are moody and sulking in summer, and don’t hit anything unless it is almost in their mouths. You might try night fishing for them from the dock. They get a bit more active after dark in warm weather.
