Where is the best crappie fishing in Michigan?

The best crappie fishing in Michigan can be found in several locations.  You will find a range of fish in this state including walleye, trout, bass and panfish, just to name a few.  If you really want crappie, though, here are some of the locations to get it.

·         Brevoort Lake:  In Brevort, Michigan, this larger lake is a great north tip of the state lake for crappie. 

·         Fletcher Pond: Located in the north west part of the state, Fletch Pond is about 9000 acres of which crappie are found heavily

·         Hamlin Lake: A smaller choice, this 5000 acre lake is located in the north west an in Hamlin, Michigan.  You will find that it has smaller crappie than larger.

·         Houghton Lake: A large lake, this is a great place for crappie fishing for the larger sizes, located in Houghton Lake, Michigan.

·         Indian Lake:  For those in the upper peninsula of the state, near Manistique, this lake is a good choice

·         Lake Erie:  In the south east, good depth for crappie

·         Lake Huron:  Larger area, on the eastern boarder of the state, Lake Huron is a good choice

·         Lake Michigan:  A large option with great depth and potential for larger crappie here.

·         Lake Superior:  Perhaps the largest location crappie are fished for its size and location in the upper peninsula of the state

·         Wixom Lake:  Smaller, in the north east area of the state, smaller crappie.

You can find crappie in many of Michigan’s smaller lakes, too.  Some of the best crappie fishing in Michigan is on the Great Lakes that it boarders.
